DevOps Engineer Job Opportunity – Cloud, CI/CD & Kubernetes for Government AI Platforms

About the Role
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end cloud deployment, containerization, infrastructure automation, monitoring, security, and operational excellence. You will play a key role in enabling reliable, scalable, and secure delivery of AI/ML solutions by integrating DevOps and DevSecOps best practices across the software development lifecycle.
Experience Required
- 4 – 8 years of hands-on DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience
Key Responsibilities
1. CI/CD Pipeline Development
Design, implement, and manage robust CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, automated, and reliable software releases. Ensure consistent build, test, and deployment workflows across development, staging, and production environments.
2. Infrastructure Automation (IaC)
Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure. Build scalable, fault-tolerant, and cost-efficient environments using best-in-class automation practices.
3. Cloud Infrastructure Management
Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure on government-approved cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. Handle compute, storage, networking, and managed services with a focus on performance and security.
4. Containerization & Orchestration
Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Support microservices architectures, service discovery, scaling, and high availability across distributed systems.
5. Monitoring, Performance & Reliability
Implement monitoring solutions and dashboards to track application health, infrastructure metrics, and system performance. Proactively identify bottlenecks, perform capacity planning, and ensure high uptime for critical government platforms.
6. Security & DevSecOps
Integrate security at every stage of the DevOps lifecycle. Implement IAM, RBAC, encryption, secrets management, vulnerability scanning, and compliance controls aligned with organizational and regulatory standards.
7. Databases & Networking
Configure and manage relational, NoSQL, vector databases, and caching layers. Design and operate API gateways, load balancers, VPCs, subnets, firewalls, DNS, and SSL/TLS certificates.
8. Cost Optimization & Disaster Recovery
Optimize cloud costs through resource rightsizing, reserved capacity planning, and efficient architecture design. Establish backup, recovery, and disaster recovery runbooks to ensure business continuity.
9. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
Maintain clear documentation of deployment processes, infrastructure configurations, and best practices. Provide training and guidance to team members on DevOps tools, workflows, and methodologies.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- CI/CD tools and automation pipelines
- Linux system administration and shell scripting
- Experience with microservices and distributed systems
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
- Security best practices: IAM, RBAC, encryption, compliance
Educational Qualification
Any Graduate (preferably B.E / B.Tech / MCA or equivalent degree in IT / Computer Science) from a recognized and reputed institution.
Desirable Skills & Certifications
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- AWS / Azure / GCP Cloud Architect certifications
- Experience in environmental, regulatory, or e-governance AI systems
- Knowledge of GIS, KML, and geospatial data formats
- Exposure to agentic AI and decision-support systems
